Driven to make positive changes to peoples' lives, not only in the classroom, but in the real world, too!
Having a degree in Psychology, I can teach A-level to undergraduates. Also, I can teach basic psychology skills such as body language techniques, and even spotting a liar!
I have completed two courses in meditation, and found it to be beneficial in every day life. Therefore, I use these practises in my teaching. These include; taking breaks when feeling overwhelmed, encouraging the use of reminders such as alarms and post-it notes, and breathing through tough work when feeling like giving up.
Expect a lot of visual aids and questions in my classes. I like to keep students engaged and happy - it is very student-led, so no pressure to stick to one topic per session, as long as we're learning! This does not mean my sessions are easy. I want you to get good grades as much as you do, but in a relaxed way.
Homework is given in my classes. This is to boost learning and encourage engagement in classes. Learning is not ALWAYS fun but I do what I can to improve your knowledge, whilst hoping that I can learn a thing or two from you, too. So are you going to impress me with your skills? Regular quizzes will be given, as well as mini games like Kahoot to make learning fun. If you have a different learning style, I have many books or papers that are good reads, too!
