I am a passionate and knowledgeable tutor specialising in teaching Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. Having studied these subjects at A-level, including further maths AS, and currently completing a BSc in Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham I am qualified to help your child achieve their fullest potential. I look forward to exploring exam techniques, basic concepts or higher-level questions, depending on your child's needs.
I work primarily over Zoom, utilising private lessons to personalise a learning plan for your child. I have experience tutoring GCSE students and acted as a teaching assistant for a year in a GCSE maths class. I also have experience working with primary school-age children, as a ballet teacher, and children with ASD/ADHD/learning difficulties.
In lessons, I utilise a variety of approaches to learning, including worked examples, exam questions and explaining the content outlined in your child's exam board specification. I am happy to explore concepts at a deeper level than required for their level at school if that is something the student is interested in, as I am passionate about these subjects and enjoy helping students to excel.
I offer 30-minute or 1-hour sessions as required, with a weekly schedule that can be customised to fit with the different challenges of the academic year. Having achieved a grade 9 in my own GCSE I am in a perfect position to recommend revision websites, techniques and practice questions that aided me. I am happy to review homework activities with the student, always employing a learner-led approach.
