In my experience with teaching Placement I know that no two pupils are the same. That’s why I find it important to discuss with pupils what teaching style suits their needs for e.g. pictures, slideshows, verbalising, worksheets and activities, talking one on one, video demonstration.
By talking about this to my pupils I find they have a better understanding of the content they’re learning.
This can also be changed for different topics to suit the content being taught. For e.g. Volcanoes may need pictures and videos for a better explanation while weather signs may need a worksheet or activity.
For my younger students I will try various teaching methods instead of asking them as they may not be sure.
