I'm a young student with a great passion for history and teaching. I hope to provide both knowledge and skills in history as a subject.
For the first lesson first I like to get to know the learner, their level of understanding and what they need to learn about in order to develop an effective strategy to help that individual student as best as possible. Typically I like to test how they learn and give them suggestions on new approaches in history all while presenting new information that will impress. I want to be able to lean into the student's own knowledge and expand on that to allow it to flourish. My method of teaching history is always to tell it as a story and how events, people, and objects will fit into that narrative, so more often than not I will attempt to tell the student a chronological story and allow them to implant their knowledge into those stories interactively and enjoyably. However, if the learner requires a change in how we do our lessons I would be more than happy to accommodate as I can be flexible in how I teach, my foremost priority is making sure the student walks away from a session satisfied and confident in themselves and their newfound ability.
I guarantee that each lesson I teach will be packed with enthusiasm and a high level of knowledge not just on the subject but also on the education system and its requirements, for younger students history can sometimes be a grim subject, and being able to explain context appropriately is something I pride myself on. I'm familiar with teaching young people, having young siblings who often seek my expertise on subjects, always to good results.
