Hi, my name is Jack and I’m a History tutor. I’m an effective tutor because I am passionate about the subject and have studied it through all stages of education.

I aim to use my knowledge and experience of the subject to tailor my teaching in a way that engages and benefits students. For this reason, I’m willing to teach in both formal and informal ways, ultimately aiming to be as helpful to the student/s as possible. I believe it’s much easier to study a subject you enjoy and so will strive to make the content exciting where I can.

I’ve studied a large variety of History, both ancient and modern. I graduated with first class honours from the University of Roehampton where I specialised in ancient history and Viking expansion. I also maintain an interest and knowledge in much of the modern history I studied too.

I am very willing to research exam boards and the specifics of students courses, as this will aid me in tailoring teaching and helping with students writing.

Teaching and presenting are both skills I am confident with, having built up experience throughout college and university. I also have some experience teaching 1-1 but often to larger groups of around 5-10.
