Ivy Ng

My name is Ivy, originally from Hong Kong. I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Essex, and my PGCE from University of Sunderland. I have over six years of experience teaching in early years, primary and secondary schools.

As a student, I hated doing homework and exams. I found lessons in school very boring, repetitive, and stressful. Therefore, when I become a tutor, I always personalize the lessons and make sure my student's needs, interest, goals and ability are taken into account. I try to make my lessons fun and easy for my students to understand. Communication is key and the more I know about your strengths. weaknesses and interest, we can work together to reach your goal!

Most of my students want to do well and study hard, however they are lacking the exam skills to achieve higher grade. Subject knowledge is important, but knowing what the exams are asking from you is just as important. In my lessons, we work on extending subject knowledge as well as exam skills. Let's work harder and smarter together.

I specialize in Chinese A-level and GCSE exams, with a passion for helping students of all ages succeed in school. Using visual aids and modern technology, I make learning more interactive, fun, informative and enjoyable.
