My name is Isabella and I have experience in editing, managing and work experience at The Economist. I study at the well renowned London School Of Economics where I have developed nuance in my field of anthropology and politics, additionally to interpersonal connection, leadership and understanding the power of unique contexts and perspectives. Within LSE, I am an editor of the official art business magazine thus ensuring I am a confident and evocative writer with experience of delegation and efficiency. Further, my role as head of social media design and marketing for the LGBTQ+ SU officer has provided me with extensive experience in designing content, marketing schemes based on current affairs within LSE and outside, and further creating a strong community on campus. However, beyond my experience, I am first and foremost and advocate for celebrating the many differing backgrounds and contexts individuals come to the table with.
I have worked in a large array of different professions which are outlined below, all contributing to a nuanced perspective on the interdisciplinary nature of the work environment. I am the LGBTQ+ SU head of social media design and marketing at LSE, alongside being an art business magazine editor. Alongside my work experience at The Economist, I have managed Yoga Whites, which is a coffee and crystal hybrid shop in West London. I began as a barista, however, quickly became part time manager of the entire store: the coffee shop, the clothes and crystal element too. In the same company, I managed web and retail content across the official website. This included organising the products, writing evocative descriptions and ensuring the website was accessible to users. My experience also involves volunteer work as a gymnastics assistant coach for young children in my local area to help them grow confidence and self assurance. On my own personal endeavours, at age 16 I founded a non profit called 1self to help introduce mental health education to children in primary schools, and eventually into the education system. I have worked with schools and local government to establish this, thus demonstrating the strength of my integrity and ethos. I am looking forward to continuing this endeavour post graduation.
