India Nielsen

I am a practicing artist with a wide knowledge of contemporary art, both in an institutional and commercial. I completed my foundation diploma at Central St. Martins in 2012, my BA in Fine Art at The Slade School of Fine Art (University of the Arts London) in 2016 and graduated with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 2018. I work as an Associate Lecturer on the BA Painting Programme at Camberwell College of Arts, as a mentor on the Turps Painting Programme and was invited to be a Visiting Artist at Goldsmiths for 2023.

I have exhibited my work internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include Kebbel-Villa museum in (Bavaria), BeAdvisors (Milan) Darren Flook (London) and at Imlabor (Tokyo). Selected recent exhibitions include VIN VIN (Vienna), Annarumma gallery (Naples), Paradise Row, VO Curations, Collective Ending, The Residence Gallery, Roman Road, Southwark Park galleries (London), White Columns (New York) and Spazio Amanita x Avant Arte (Florence). My work is held in numerous notable collections, including the Zuza¯ns Collection, Zuzeum Art Centre (Riga), Sof:Art (Bologna) Collezione Taurisano (Naples) and Maureen Paley (London). She also writes, interviewing other artists for the Imlabor website.

I can offer help with portfolio preparation to apply to some of the best international art schools, including interview preparation, help with writing a personal statement and with contextualising your work, as well as regular feedback on the development on your growing artistic practice. I can also offer technical tuition if required as my specialty is in painting.
