Imana Watson-Parris

Hello, I’m Mrs Parris and I am an English teacher! I taught ESL and Literature to students in China for 6 years and most recently have taken my teaching online here in London.

My English Literature course promotes freedom
of expression and opinions on various topics, genres and themes, while also preparing you for academic reading and writing at school, college or university. I encourage my students to advance their writing through planning, literary devices, themes, vocabulary and grammar, but also to re-draft their work to continue to improve.

Through in-depth discussion and analysis I guide my students to feel confident sharing their opinions and teach them how to back up what they say with evidence.

The dynamic of my online lessons are comfortable yet structured. In just 6 lessons students achieve so much, and with each new book so much more!

All students are first given an assessment class to place them at the right level. I have a huge library of texts of different Lexile levels that can be studied!

I have always been passionate about English Literature, reading and writing, and I hope to pass the love of reading on to all of my students! The skills they learn are very transferable to every day life and further education, very invaluable!
