Not only do I have a passion for History I genuinely love it, hence why I was annoyed with myself that I only got an 8 in my GCSEs. However, I rectified it by getting an A* at my A-Levels and later a 2:1 in my degree. On the other hand, although I may not have a strong undying love for English literature I love reading and fundamentally English literature revolves around you understanding the text at hand, which I will elaborate further down.

I offer tailored tutoring in History and English Literature for GCSE students as well as History for A-Level students, with the aim of helping you build both a solid understanding of key topics and the skills needed to analyse and articulate your ideas effectively.

Together, we’ll focus on:

First addressing your strengths and weakness. Which will allow me to use my content/technique method which enables me to figure out if you need focusing on the content or technique aspect of your subject.

Secondly, understanding all the possible content that can come up in your exam. Which means understanding the exam board itself. Even if you think content is your forte you still need to be prepared for every possible outcome.

Strengthening critical thinking skills, so you can engage with sources, texts, and ideas in a meaningful way. My aim is to make the text in front of you as digestible as I can.

Improving your essay writing, from crafting clear arguments to supporting your points with relevant evidence.

Enhancing your research, discussion, and revision techniques to ensure you feel prepared and confident for exams.

Finally, my goal is to help you not only improve your grades but also enjoy and appreciate the subjects you’re studying. BUT!!!! I get that in many cases that just won’t be the case which is why I will try and tailor our lessons so that they suit your individual needs, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
