Before we start classes, we will meet (by phone, online of face to face) so that you can tell me about your learning experience, what interests you most, what your priorities are hich parts of the exam are most challenging for you. and how we can organise the lessons to suit your learning style and lifestyle.
The dynamic of the lesson will depend on the learning format that you prefer: for example, you might prefer to meet in a public space to discuss and practise the exam paper; you might be someone who prefers to be set tasks and then evaluate your performance with an experienced teacher and former Cambridge Assessment examiner; you might be someone who enjoys using a coursebook (which I can provide), or you might be someone who wants to bring specific questions to an online session. Your needs and preferred learning style will be the most important factor in deciding how to organise the course.
I recognise that every student is different, and (after 30+ years as a teacher of English as a foreign language) I have a great deal of experience helping people to reach their examination goals. I have taught CPE (and other) exams at a number of prestigious language schools, and my experience with the Cambridge Assessment organisation has given me a very good understanding of what the examiners are looking for.
I can be very flexible about times/days, so you can decide what the timetable is, and I aim to give detailed feedback on written work/ pratice tests within 24 hours.
