Experience:

- Graduated with a BSc (Upper 2:1) in Counselling and Psychology from the University of Chichester

- Graduated with an MSc (Merit) in Brain and Behaviour Science from Liverpool John Moore's University.

Both of these degrees allowed me to develop a strong knowledge base in Statistics (T-tests and ANOVA's), and structuring/writing reports.

- Volunteer Teaching Assistant position: As a volunteer teaching assistant in my third year of University I gained valuable insight in supporting students with psychological theory and concepts. I helped undergraduate students with statistics and Biological Psychology.

Content I cover (A-level)

I can assist with the following topics on the AQA A-Level Psychology specification including:

- Social Influence, Memory, Attachment and Psychopathology (paper 1)

- Approaches in Psychology, Biopsychology, and Research Methods (Paper 2)

- Issues and debates in Psychology, Relationships, Schizophrenia, and Addiction (Paper 3).

Format of lessons:

I will start lessons off by getting to know you and discussing what you would like more support on in Psychology. I will also discuss with you how you earn best so I can tailor the lessons to your needs. My methods of tutoring include breaking concepts down more slowly, drawing diagrams to illustrate examples, and also doing applied exam practice (A-Level).

Dynamics of the lesson:

As a tutor, I always strive to be enthusiastic and passionate when delivering lessons. If you are struggling to understand something I will approach it from another angle. Don't worry! These lessons are for students of all abilities and I will go at a pace and standard that is best suited to you.
