Helena Lochery

Hi! I’m Helena. I’m currently studying at University College London - a leading UK university. My teaching fields include English Language / Literature, History, Portuguese, Essay Writing and Exam prep. Although these are the subjects I enjoy and have succeeded in (like my students) I am constantly learning and in so extending my teaching portfolio.

I consider myself an approachable, kind, and patient tutor. I want my students to succeed and will put all my effort into ensuring they accomplish the results they deserve. Having been through the system myself, I understand that it’s easy to feel lost and unmotivated. Therefore, my aim is not only to teach students, but to guide them through their subjects, ensuring they are reaching their fullest potential.

To do this, I empower my students to raise their queries and doubts. This allows me to investigate their problem areas and provide a tailored answer. Along with this, I provide key advice on exams and essay writing which helps to guide students prep for exams.
But lessons are supposed to be fun! And I expect to use lots of fun activities and tasks to keep students engaged and challenged.
