Depending on your area of study I will use the same format of education I received at Cambridge University while making it accessible and specific to your needs. It involves a historical outline of the period in question, the major artworks and artists with some close analysis and the broader philosophical context.

Part of the focus will be on developing your visual analysis, historical fact-finding, and theoretical interpretive skills. These form the basis of art history. I have studied in depth Surrealism, Paris in the 18th century, Medieval Jerusalem and Europe, Contemporary Art and the Early-Modern or Renaissance period.

Depending on your level of study and curriculum (if GCSE or A-level) I will build the skills accordingly.

I will also offer preparatory tutoring for Oxbridge admissions. This will involve practising the interview style, the essays, entrance exams and personal statement. I can offer this for all humanities subjects
