I am a highly compassionate Year 12 student who has a thorough and very up-to-date understanding of the secondary school syllabus. I achieved all Grade 9s in my GCSEs and have 3 Predicted A* grades in my A levels. I know what it takes to perform highly and can offer quality tutoring services for a fraction of the average price.

I will have prepared a PowerPoint on a topic that my student wishes to go over and will spend a few minutes covering some of the underlying core content, whilst ensuring that the student is engaged by asking occasional questions based on the PowerPoint slides. I am patient and amicable and aim to work with my student to reach the correct answer as part of a gradual process. Once we have covered the content, I will cover a few past-paper questions of varying difficulty with the student, and we will work together to reach the answer before I assign them some questions for them to tackle on their own. If they struggle with these, I find the flaw in the student's understanding of the content and will make sure to re-teach this until the student completely understands where they went wrong and feels comfortable. Alternatively, If they finish the questions with ease, then I will offer some harder questions that may encourage the student to think outside the box and bring together multiple parts of the syllabus. Primarily, my lessons are interactive and it is crucial that the student and I talk about their learning, as this is the best way to understand new information. This approach has worked wonderfully for me in the past, and I have had success- tutoring mainly biology, chemistry and maths- and I am confident that every student is able to reach their potential through a positive teaching style and with forbearance and hard work.
