Communication is key, if you are wanting to better yourself at something specific then let me know! If you are wanting exposure to artistic media, a place to explore and try things out pressure-free then we can organise an ‘explorative session’. Being a teacher and trained counsellor, I am very open to using the creative space as an outlet, if this is what you need, we can look at ‘art release sessions’.
Goals are also important. If you are an outcome/solution centred person, having a completed outcome per session will feel more fulfilling. However, if your goal is to improve, practice or create an outcome over several sessions, this can be incredibly satisfying as your skills grow over time.
I am a biro pen drawing artist at heart but in recent years have had more exposure to contemporary methods, creating artworks from clay, plastics, recycled fabrics, textiles and paints. I have moved from 2D to 3D, from traditional to abstract/contemporary and recently digital too. I teach Art and Photography and regularly use editing and digital software like Photoshop and Procreate.
Sessions will typically follow the routine of reflect, demonstrate, practice, reflect. Reflecting can take form of conversations, ideas, goals, considering progress. I will demonstrate and guide you through your own practice. This can be as independent or collaborative as you would like.
