Hannah Plumley

My name is Hannah and I am a recent graduate from the University of Reading. I have received a degree in Psychology which is also accredited by the BPS (British Psychological Society). I have yet to teach but I have lots of ideas. After going through the education system myself not too long ago, I know what I enjoyed and what could be improved upon. For example, for Psychology as a subject I feel that understanding research and literature earlier on puts you at more of an advantage, especially if this is something you aim to pursue in higher education!

I will be covering A-Level content. I want to get to know your personal school curriculum. The subjects you have a strong understanding of and the ones you believe you could improve in. I want my job to be to support and help you. I want my lessons to be tailored to you, your learning style(s), and understanding.

I have experience with working with young people. I worked as a support worker working with young people with ADHD and Autism. I really enjoyed working in this role because I got to know the individuals there and also see them gain skills and thrive. This was the most amazing feeling, I just felt so proud of them. This is something I want to bring to my role as a tutor. I just want to see my tutees succeed and be happy, and if you’re not there yet I want to find ways to get you there!
