I am a passionate and empathetic tutor with a strong academic background, currently studying Human Sciences at the University of Oxford. I'm approachable, adaptable, and committed to helping students unlock their potential by making learning enjoyable and accessible.
My lessons are aimed at a wide range of learners, including:
KS3-KS4 students need support in all subjects, particularly Science, English, and Humanities.
GCSE and A-level students who want to excel in subjects like Biological Sciences, English, History, and Geography and improve their essay writing and exam techniques.
Homeschooled students or those struggling in traditional classroom settings, as I understand the value of tailored, independent learning.
Students seeking help with EPQs, coursework, exam preparation, personal statements, and university interviews, particularly those applying to competitive institutions.
I aim to support students in building confidence, mastering challenging content, and developing lifelong study skills.
I tailor learning based on how each of my students learns best, whether auditory, visual or reading/writing learners. I focus on active recall and repetition, group discussions, memorisation techniques, mnemonic devices and regular testing.
I support the work smarter, not harder, ethos. I help students grasp content quickly and effectively, using science-backed methods that have aided me in achieving my academic goals, leaving them with more time to work on their interests and hobbies.
The lesson's duration will depend on the content and subject area being covered and how the student learns. Many learners struggle to focus after 45 minutes, so learning in small 30-45-minute chunks with intermittent breaks works best for those students. Others can sustain focus for longer periods, allowing us to cover more content in a longer session.
