During my first year of university I tutored GCSE students in English Literature. Since then, I have successfully tutored and mentored many students with regard to Oxbridge applications, many of them going on to receive offers. My teaching style is simple. My primary aim in the first few sessions will be to ascertain the current level you are working out. Subsequently, we will work through the relevant assessment criteria to ensure that you have a deep understanding of what is required of you to achieve the marks you desire and can identify areas which require improvement. I will then set tasks which aim to stretch and challenge you to develop your skills and provide constructive feedback to further facilitate your understanding and ensure you are making progress. Finally, I like my sessions to be structured but informal. I am patient and take time to explain concepts and answer questions so you can leave every session with clarity and confidence.
