Merhaba! (Hello!)
I am a native Turkish tutor based in London. I have over 12 years of experience teaching in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at one of Turkey's top universities. In addition to my academic background, I’ve spent many years helping non-native speakers master the Turkish language.
Who are my lessons for?
Adults or children who want to learn Turkish from scratch.
Adults or children who are looking to advance their Turkish language skills.
Students are preparing for the GCSE and A-level Turkish exam.
My qualifications:
I hold a bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. in Turkish Language from three of Turkey's top universities. A quick Google search of my name, Funda San, will lead you to my academic publications, including books and articles on Turkish studies.
As a native Turkish speaker, I’m fluent in English. I can also speak Arabic and Persian a bit. If you know any of these languages, I can make learning Turkish easier and more enjoyable. But don’t worry, English will be enough for us to communicate effectively.
A bit more about me:
I lived in Istanbul for 20 years and traveled to other countries for research and study. For the past two years, I’ve lived in London, where I continue researching and teaching Turkish online.
About the lessons:
One-on-one lessons tailored to your needs.
Each session is held online via Zoom, and I’ll share lesson slides via email afterward. You can also request recordings of the lessons to review later.
One hour per week is typically enough due to the comprehensive nature of the content.
If you have any questions or want to learn more, don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you in class soon!
Görüsmek üzere! (See you soon!)
