Hi, I'm Emily, and I have 3 years of tutoring experience at GCSE and A-Level. I am currently in my final year studying MSci Geology. I am friendly and positive - to me, no question is a silly question! We will have an initial 15 minute meeting to discuss your learning preferences - whether you prefer visual aids, discussion or something else. I will also work to understand your areas of weakness or where you lack confidence, so we can work on these. My aim is to increase your understanding, and also your confidence, so you can translate your learning into great exam performance! The lessons will be a two way discussion, structured around the syllabus content to ensure you are learning everything you need to do well in your exams. The basic structure will involve a personalised presentation on the topic requested by the student for that specific week, with questions included throughout to keep you engaged - we will work through these together. Closer to exams, we will work through exam questions, exam technique, structuring answers, and some useful tips for Geography exams specifically. I can also work through NEA projects with students: I currently have 2 years of experience helping with NEAs in both human and physical topics. Personally, I previously achieved an A* in A Level and GCSE Geography, recently enough that I still remember how it feels to take the exams and therefore can relate well to all students and provide lots of useful hints and tips.
