Ella Watts

My lessons will be very student focused, formatting the lesson in a way in which the students will feel comfortable in their learning environment and begin to enjoy their tutoring of English. I have taught pupils before in a secondary setting and understand the complex need’s students have and I have an understanding of how to meet these needs. I aim to make my lessons enjoyable for the pupils, leaving them with a substantial amount of knowledge. I enjoy teaching english as it is a very complex language and one of my favourite curriculum subjects, i hope to share the excitement surround english and the english language as it can be very interesting. I aim to tackle negative stereotypes surrounding English as a subject, allowing students to create their own opinion on the subject. I also aim to not allow my views on english to influence the students own opinion on the subject, as each individual has their own thoughts and opinions. English can be very difficult to understand and is very complex as a language yet I aim to break the language down into sections allowing it to be easily understood and accessible. I will provide a friendly face for you and not criticise you, I will be there for you when you are struggling with certain aspects of the language and support you in your learning, being a role model you can learn from and have discussions with. Overall, I wish to help you to enjoy english and further your studies.
