I started writing when I was 6, I have always love creative writing, it was and still is an escape for me. When you do creative writing no one can tell you if your right or wrong you can just express and be free and watching my young students express, grow and become themselves is the most amazing thing to see. Teaching is much more than just writing and reading it’s building a relationship with the children where they feel safe and happy. I love working with children and seeing them progress and reaching their goals, moving on to different milestones. I want to make learning enjoyable because I want them to want to learn I don’t want it to feel like it’s a chore. I want the children to be able to engage and understand it’s okay to get things wrong it’s okay not to know everything but to try your best in everything you do. It’s more than just work and learning, everything we do as adults now helps the children become their future it helps them become strong and determined. It’s about helping them deal with their emotion from a young age, letting them know it’s okay to be upset it’s okay to get frustrated when you get an answer wrong or annoyed when you don’t get what you want but it’s about how you behave whilst you’re feeling theses emotions . I tell my students no matter what age it’s not your feelings that will get you in trouble it’s how you act on your feeling. I am not just here to teach I’m here to listen and help guide them to become the best they can be.
