I am a qualified teacher with experience working with SEN and foreign language students. I focus on ensuring topics and techniques are memorable and usable for each individual student.
Each lesson begins with a short, tailored recall session based off the student’s previous learning to help solidify the topics they have covered.
The focus of each lesson can be tailored to suit the student’s specific needs; whether that be a general increase in confidence and understanding of techniques used during English lessons or specific revision on something the student feels is a weakness for them.
Regardless of the focus, the session will be unique to that student, taking into account their own pace of learning and confidence with the subject. In addition, all learning will be based on the curriculum the student is covering in school, ensuring it is beneficial to them at the time.
All topics are studied and taught in an in-depth manner at the student’s pace, allowing for questioning and re-teaching where needed. In addition, I implement as many dynamic and interesting memory and study techniques as possible to help students find methods that work for them and to ensure the learning does not become boring.
The overall goal of each session is to provide students with a safe place to ask questions and build their confidence in English in a way they may feel unable to do so in class. We work at their pace, ensuring full understanding of each topic and looking for creative ways that the student can enhance their skills and remember key techniques and details that will ensure they feel more confident and attain the results they want to see in their schooling.
