Eliza Duncan

I have 4 years of experience working with children within the scouting movement, primarily age 8-11 and partial informal experience with young people 14-18. My experience within the community and my pivotal interest in contemporary arts is something that translates well into teaching and personal tutoring. I have spearheaded leading events in art, craft and design and keep children engaged and excited to keep making!

I have recently graduated from Central Saint Martins, one of the best art schools in the world and can offer crucial advice to potential applicants to art schools and colleges, with experience in portfolio preparation and potential interview queries. I have a wide knowledge of contemporary and current artists which can elevate coursework and knowledge of theory, as well as practical help in making artwork and creating masterpieces! I worked on student exhibitions and running extra curricular events whilst at university, was a student representative in my second year, and most recently have return post-graduation as a student ambassador to assist student to settle in to their new university experience.

My methods are fluid through knowledge and study of contextual history of art, analysis of personal experience and how this matters in the process of art making, opinionated and critical discussion of specific pieces, application to a students own work and how to actively advance practical skill. I engage with mediums that stretch from sketching to collage to painting, with workshops in print and textile, all depending what is most useful for each specific student.
