I believe in a subjective approach - each student has their own ways of thinking, respond to stimuli differently, and learn at varying paces. Therefore, I tailor my teaching to incorporate for all of those things, not just a one-size-fits-all structure. From my experiences teaching as well as coaching, this not only improves the efficacy of the learning process but also makes the experience much more enjoyable as well!

I am a visual learner myself and am curious as to know why things happen, hence why my lessons will be balance the 'show' as well as the 'tell' in the aim to trigger different parts of the brain and work out what works best for each student as per above. I always found, both at school and at university, that the bulk of my knowledge retention came from smaller environments where there was discussion and interaction and thus I will aim to keep my lessons dynamic and engaging where possible. If you can talk about the subject confidently and accurately then chances are you will understand it!

Finally, having just completed education, I feel like I am in a good place to be able to transfer the lessons I learnt, both in an academic and practical sense, onto others. I made a lot of mistakes through the years and the best way to rectify them is to help others avoid doing the same thing! Equally, having studied both Maths and Physics, alongside English Literature and Politics to A-level standard, I believe my knowledge is both broad and thorough and can therefore offer a range of services to whoever made need them.
