Sessions with me are tailored to the student/client. I take a holistic approach to teaching where I address concepts that relate to academics. This may contain talking about support systems for academics like libraries, setting up communication between teachers and parents, and the emotional hardships that come with school like stress and anxiety and how to deal with that. I teach in a dynamic way in which I combine verbal and written exercises to help students master concepts. Creating a strong and healthy relationship with students is my number one goal for all clients starting out. Relationships are built on trust which is why I take it very seriously that students feel comfortable in sessions. It is hard for people to show vulnerability and so it is part of my duty as a tutor to facilitate learning and also freedom to speak in a safe environment.
