I am very sensitive to students' educational needs, and have an innate ability to communicate with and get the best out of them. I am patient and calm, yet enthusiastic and fun as the occasion dictates. I have very exacting standards indeed of presentation and rigour but elicit these in a way that is both understanding and adapted to the particular student.

Creativity is an integral part of my teaching and I take pleasure and pride in spending time making materials. These have included workbooks for my students (running to over 100 pages), YouTube materials (songs and learning techniques) that have attracted over 40,000 hits, treasure hunts and many more ideas.
