I have been tutoring privately for 22 years (GSCE, A-level and beyond) and lecturing at universities for 16 years, including at both Oxford and Cambridge universities.

- I tailor each session to the unique needs of my students. Whether guiding someone through formal exams on set texts or offering last minute interview coaching or helping to get a client’s novel publication-ready, my approach is always highly personalised.

- My approach is professional, empathetic and meticulous. I always get the best out of my students!

- I work with a limited number of students. This means I can devote enough time to my existing students to ensure they receive the highest standard of support.

- I offer comprehensive online tutorials, both within the UK and internationally, and a small number of in-person sessions.

- I have experience teaching at GSCE, A-Level, BA, MA and PhD levels.

- I have experience as a first examiner, second examiner and external examiner at BA, MA and PhD levels.

- I have been responsible for curriculum development at a number of British universities.

- I can assist students with university applications, offer guidance on UCAS statements and mock interview practice.

- I am able to help potential Oxbridge students navigate college choices and other idiosyncrasies of the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, having studied and taught at both of these institutions.

- I am familiar with a huge range of canonical and less well-known literary texts.

- I have guided a large number of students to publication of their own writing.
