For my lessons I will be using video streaming and the chat function to reach you. If there are any suggested platforms I will be more than happy to hear about them and even try to include them in the lessons. For each student I will need a copy of your syllabus/module handbook and any other documents the institution provides and it will allow me to make a custom teaching plan for you. I will provide worksheets when possible and other resources for each student to track their progress over the course of the lessons. Each lesson will start with undergoing a little recap to see what needs to be worked on together. I will ensure breaks in lessons to ensure the best quality of work is done. If at any time the student gets stuck we will work through obstacles together. I plan to build a sustainable relationship with each student, this is to ensure that they know they can come to me when stuck or when they achieve something wonderful.
I am currently a student at Middlesex University, studying MSc psychology. So my teaching method will be one where we discuss topics and I explain them to the student as a peer instead of as a superior to ensure there are no gaps in their knowledge. As a student myself I understand some of the struggles and fears a student may have, making me more suited to address them. I just want to be an extra boost in the already attained knowledge.
As this is a 2 way relationship I would need the student to be respectful, willing and open with their challenges that need to be addressed by me.
