I am a former FE English lecturer with experience of teaching resit students through to adults. I am now an author of literary fiction experienced in drafting novels and working with editors. I can offer creative writing courses as well as English lessons. Whatever you need, I will work around with careful thought and planning. We would communicate through email and via Skype or Microsoft teams to ensure the content you need, feedback, and I can work with a range of levels.
I am friendly and accessible, a great listener, and take account of your individual requirements.
In lessons we can examine all aspects of English such as figurative language, reading for meaning, text analysis, writing skills, presentation and oral skills, creativity, planning, drafting, and presenting a honed piece of writing.
We can cover individual pieces of text for analysis, full novel enquiry, fiction and non fiction pieces, and we'll discuss these in a lively, subjective manner giving rise to your personal interpretation abilities.
Lessons will be structured with clear objectives at the start of each lesson, always allowing for organic flow. I always allow time for questions and inquisitive enquiry, and topics arising from these can always be integrated into subsequent lessons.
I can create a full course for your creative writing needs, and you will have my subjective feedback on your projects, in addition to supervision on inception, planning, drafting, and editing.
