David Bannister

I have over 30 years of experience in drawing and painting and can offer tailored tuition to meet your needs, whether you are a school goer or adult learner. I am a practicing fine artist and work mainly with charcoal, acrylic and oils. My work is quite varied and explores portraiture, landscape and semi-abstract genres.

I offer tuition in the foundations of drawing and painting- teaching and demonstrating use of line and tone, perspective, composition, colour theory and more. I wish to share my skills and experience in all aspects of drawing and painting to facilitate artistic development.

My teaching style is relaxed, informative and experiential. I encourage students to experiment and explore materials and techniques to allow freedom of expression and foster their individual and unique style.

I am willing to travel to teach or can arrange a local venue (local to me) to accommodate a class.
