I like to listen to my students and take an individual approach to each lesson! As we all learn differently, I am happy to accommodate to the learning style that they prefer (eg. more images, less complex language in reading, more listening activates, etc.) and go at a pace that they deem suitable. Learning is an experience that should be enjoyable, and feedback should be received on both ends; as a tutor, and as a student, we must work together to achieve an efficient 1-to-1 style that suits the goals we have set to achieve together.
With experience in tutoring many ages and proficiencies, I feel that my confidence in tutoring reflects itself with the results that the student obtains. Often, not only do we improve their written and spoken English in an academic setting, but also in an everyday manner that ties into their habits and speech patterns.
Often, lessons consist of mainly going over the students coursework from their academy and identifying weaknesses or specific areas that they struggle in. I then go over these areas with them, and often create small lesson plans with some practice material.
I have previous experience tutoring ages 5-20. I am happy to teach English to non-native speakers (I have my TEFl-120 hr certificate) as well as native speakers who wish to improve their writing, speaking, grammar, and presenting skills. I am more than happy to come up with a custom learning plan for you to hit your goals, and suit your needs.
