I like my lessons to be fun, engaging and tailored to each individual student. I will not force you to learn a piece of music that you have no interest in. I will not try to make you dizzy with using overly technical terms from the start and I will set out to make your lessons as enjoyable and exciting as they can possibly get.
Over the last ten years of teaching music, I have realised that the fundamental part of learning an instrument is having structure within each lesson. Learning objectives will be set at the beginning of the lesson and reinforced by the end of the lesson. These small steps quickly cover a lot of ground in a small space of time, so progress is always the number one priority.
That being said, just because something is structured, doesn't mean we can't explore away from the path too. This is also important to me.
