My geography tutoring sessions are designed to be supportive, and tailored to the individual needs and weaknesses of each student. I structure every lesson to include a review of content learnt in class with their teachers that week, which helps reinforce learning, memory and identify any gaps. From there, we move into the main topic, using clear explanations, diagrams, maps, and question planning to make challenging content easier to understand and to also use exam technique. I incorporate real-world case studies to help students connect classroom theory to actual events, making the subject more relevant and create lots of points that can be used in exams.

I encourage active participation through questions, discussions, explanations and tasks that promote exam technique and content memorisation. To prepare students for exams, I include exam-style questions and offer guidance on how to structure high-quality answers using key terminology and analytical skills in every single session, as it is the most relevant for exams. Each lesson ends with a Q&A to ensure everything is understood, and I provide homework or revision tasks where helpful.

With an A* academic background in geography A-Level and a 9 at GCSE level, I know what examiners are looking for and how best to answer questions and have a deep knowledge of geographical theories. As a current university student, I am always willing to help with various other tasks, such as personal statement writing etc. I am friendly, patient, and enthusiastic.
