About me

Having taught all ages, from Primary School to Tertiary College, I teach according to the aptitudes and needs of the student.

My special love is the understanding and writing of Harmony and Counterpoint in the style of Bach. But, I can analyse the music and facilitate the understanding of structures from the Renaissance to the present day.

My special love is the understanding and writing of Harmony and Counterpoint in the style of Bach. But, I can analyse the music and facilitate the understanding of structures from the Renaissance to the present day.

I am a published Composer in the Czech Republic and in New Zealand, and therefore I am willing to coach Composers in helping them to develop their own style.

I have taught Music for English GCE 'O' and 'A' levels and New Zealand NCEA Levels up to Scholarship. I have also taught Music "Theory" for Royal School examinations up to LRSM since 1972.
