I am a Social Scientist, a Registered Social Worker in England & a Humanitarian at Heart. I am a dual British & Australian Citizen (mother is English, father is Australian). My degrees are Internationally recognised & accepted by Social Work England. The University of Queensland (UQ) where I studied has recently been ranked 40th in the world in the NTU performance ranking of scientific papers. In the Times Higher Education Subject Ratings 2024 UQ scored 60th in the world for Social Science research quality & ranked 2nd for Social Science research quality in the entire of Australia. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Queensland: extended Psychology major, Sociology minor. I picked up extra studies in History & I did a Master of Social Work Studies from the University of Queensland which I graduated in December 2021.
I have been a Safeguarding worker across two countries (Australia & the UK) for 8 years. I was trained in Safeguarding techniques by Queensland Child Safety & the Queensland Police Service. I am currently a member of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) and attend BASW Conferences. I am visiting London in a couple of weeks to attend a Peace Conference through the Peace & Justice Project. I am quite politically active.
Currently I am the UK National Head of Communications for Centre Think Tank, a Political Organisation that influences Westminster and general social policies across the UK, for the purposes of improving Society. They are a centrist and moderate not-for-profit Think Tank.
I am applying to a Social Sciences PhD program in York, England next year to become a Dr of Social Sciences. My areas of study for the PhD next year will be Peace & Conflicts (Peace between Nations) and Social Policy work. I am a registered Social Worker in England however given I am studying a PhD next year, I am looking to become a tutor & am not currently working as a Social Worker at present. I also work as a waitress on weekends to make extra money ahead of my PhD studies next year. I have no experience of tutoring at present but I have a great deal of knowledge to share about Social Sciences. My online prices are £10 an hour because I am new to tutoring students. I only tutor adults (18+) and online only, but available to anyone in the UK, from anywhere inside of the UK including England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland.
I am new to tutoring.
I am available during the week Monday to Friday. Please contact me with your top three preferences for times to discuss so I can work out my schedule. I do not tutor on weekends as I have other work I do on weekends.
My lesson plan starts with an introductory session where I can understand from you what your learning needs are and we can discuss what to focus on specifically. The second lesson would involve a specific tailored learning plan unique to you and dependent on your learning goals which we would have discussed in session one.
Looking forward to teaching and learning more Social Sciences with you.
