I am versatile and can come to the best and most efficient learning techniques with the students. An example of this would be, going through practise questions, formulating power points, or setting work to be done and powering through this together. Students can communicate with me how they want sessions to be and we can formulate a plan to best suit their needs. Likewise, the content of my lessons can be altered to fit purpose, if the need is to get a better understanding of the basics and underlying principles in chemistry or maths, then we can start there and work our way up. Alternatively, if the student wants higher more challenging work to develop themselves further, I have worksheets available for us to work through. If there’s a specific topic of interest and I am not fully confident then I will spend time learning and understanding this in order to relay the information and I’m happy to do this for both chemistry and maths.
I have experience working with groups of undergraduates and also one on one tutoring. While I was studying my A-Levels, I was picked to work with GCSE students to develop their maths and chemistry knowledge. I am currently working towards an award in higher educational teaching in Chemistry and plan to do a PGCE in Maths after my PhD. I can help you in any way and I will accommodate myself for your needs and requirements.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my experience and tutorial plans, please get in contact if you are interested in a chat to discuss how we could tailor and structure your tutor meetings.
