My lessons begin with a general catch up to put students at ease. I then follow up with a review of homework and any topics that were covered in the previous lesson, paying particular attention to areas that the students struggled with previously. I then introduce the main blue of the lesson, slowly at first, ensuring that the subject material is relevant to students and that I do not move too quickly for them. I will then normally progress to an activity of some kind as I am a firm believer that students learn best this way whilst I observe and watch paying particular attention to where and what students might be struggling with sot that I can review and reinforce if required. I will then surmise the lesson and open myself up to questions before setting any home work.
