My experience studying for the GCSE English Language and Literature exams was a journey of resilience and from this, I have learnt how to ensure you are using the most effective revision methods and top grade techniques to maximise your chances of entering the highest grade boundaries and securing your future in education. For Literature specifically, I can only teach the texts I have studied which are: An Inspector Calls, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Romeo and Juliet, and Love and Relationships Anthology (as well as unseen poetry). This is mainly because I am dedicated to use my own tailored Grade 9 notes and techniques to ensure my students get the most out of these one to one lessons. My students will learn the importance of consistent writing and analytical practice, as we start with discussing texts with a level of much deeper and more insightful interpretations and from then, we practice the application of these into perfectly crafted essays. My aim is to encourage my GCSE students to always seek alternative interpretations and deepen their analysis to a level that makes them stand out from the rest of the cohort hence, sets them up for success in such a competitive set of exams.
