My lessons are very focused on the needs of the student; I hone in on areas of confusion within a certain topic (e.g. Carl Jung's use of archetypes within his psycho-dynamic framework) and draw upon easy-to-understand examples from media. I believe it is important for students to engage with the material, and thus foster open discussions based on collaborative learning to make my classes as engaging as possible for my students. I find it important to position key texts in Psychology both in their respective periods of time, the influence they had at the time whilst also considering their relevance to today's literature.

In each class, I provide a brief overview of the topic and then ask my students for their reaction. Rather than give answers, I like to point students down the correct line of thinking by giving hints and indicators so that students learn to problem solve on their own. At the end of each class, I make sure to go over a synopsis of what is covered and attempt to answer any lasting questions they may have after engaging in the material.
