I have always been fascinated with Psychology, especially criminal psychology. My interest in this subject was evident through watching true crime documentaries, reading psychology-related books (e.g. 'The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat' by Oliver Sacks), and completing an online course titled 'The Psychology of Criminal Justice'. I started studying Psychology at A level and received an A grade. I then went on to continue studying the subject at degree level (with a year in industry) - I am currently in my first year at the University of East Anglia. My private, online lessons will be tailored to each student. Going through the specification that the exam board (relevant to each student) has published, and identifying key weaknesses will be fundamental to the student attaining higher grades. I plan to teach the content then go through active recall methods, such as, past papers, flashcards, quizzes, blurting etc. to ensure the student understands everything they have been taught. All content will be taught and tested, however, the main focus is revisiting content that the student is not as confident in recalling. I will assist students with homework, projects, tests, presentations etc. I am open to helping the student with all and any psychology-related needs. As each lesson is tailored to the specific individual and what they would like help with, each minute of every session will be of great use. At the end of each online lesson, I will ask the student would like to cover next time in order to be prepared and organized for every lesson without wasting any time.
