Using movement as the basis for breath, my classes flow. With the body, moves the mind, so we resist the mind moving off in its own direction - allowing a moving meditation to take place. We keep the movements and breath steady, building strength through continuous movement. We grow awareness of how movement works in our own body and start to pay attention to how this feels in body and mind. My classes start with a moment of stillness to settle into the body, before we start to generate some heat. We move on to explore postures in more depth, always linked through conscious transitions to keep the mind engaged. We play with challenge within the safety of our own boundaries. We end once again in a moment of stillness before we go back to join our busy lives.
