My teaching method depends on the knowledge and expectations of the students.
I certainly have my "favourite" method, but I'm always open to responding to students' specific requests.
I see any tutor/method only as a basis, to which I offer a lot of extra material and targeted support when I notice that a student is "stuck" or not really making progress.
My current focus is teenager/adult education. Many adults used the past three years to expand or refresh their knowledge online. For face to face tuition, I also accept children from about 8 years.
However, I then insist that the parents are present or at least nearby/available.
Part of the online sessions is a "follow-up email" in which I summarize the learning content, go into details and focus on specific points and, if necessary, attach extra material and/or audio clips.
I am a classically trained musician with many years of experience teaching and languages.
I studied piano, wind instruments, conducting and composition. In addition, musicology/research and management.
I am particularly interested in the of the 19th century. I collect and restore harmonies and American organs, which I also use in concerts.
In addition to my interest in "serious music", I am an active and passionate street musician,
playing Celtic on the tin whistle and ocarina, Klezmer and Yiddish songs on recorders and sopilka.
I teach all recorders, C/F and bass, 6 and 12 hole ocarinas, tin whistle, saxonett, tongue drums, all keyboard instruments, flute/Irish flute.
