Ocarina, Tin Whistle, All Recorders, Saxonett, Flute and Irish Flute for Beginners And Advanced Students

I am a musician from Germany, living and working in the UK, with many years of experience teaching music and languages.
I studied piano, wind instruments, conducting and composition.
In addition, musicology/music research and music management. I am particularly interested in the music of the 19th century with reed organs being my field of expertise.

When it comes to teaching, my approach depends on the knowledge and expectations of my students.
I certainly have "favourite methods" but am always open to specific student requests. I see every teaching material only as a starting point, and offer a lot of extra material and targeted support when I notice that a student is "stuck" or not really making progress. My current focus is on adult education.
When receiving request for children, esp. under 10, I insist on a parent or guardian being present during the sessions.
Sessions are usually 30 to 45 minutes.
I have an up-to-date DBS and EWC registration.
Along with the instruments listed above, I'm happy to teach languages (German, EFL, Yiddish, Latin, French, Italian) to individuals or groups.
