Since I wasn't always an A* students, I understand how it feels to be at lower grades, therefore I will share tips and advice on how you can also reach your potential. I will first establish what your long term goals are and then set weekly targets based on that to ensure that you reach the level of knowledge for the AQA exam board. We can work together on weaknesses by practicing exam style questions on the topic and consolidating the content of the subject. If one method of revision is not working, then I will come up with alternative methods, depending on how you learn best. For example I could try doing quizzes, drawing diagrams for visual learners or using analogies as alternatives. I will be patient and supportive throughout the tutoring sessions so you can stay motivated to improve your grades and have no hesitation asking any questions. You will be involved in the decisions made in the tutoring throughout all the sessions, so if you have any suggestions or requests on a certain topic you need help with, I will ensure to prioritise it. For GCSE biology and chemistry, I will first make sure you understand the foundations of the topic, and then build on that with the more complex topics. To ensure you are better prepared for exams, I will also walk you through the different types of exam questions, and what method to use for each of them. For MFL (Italian and Spanish) it is important that you build your confidence in speaking, therefore we can do speaking sessions together, where I can help you refine your pronunciation and fluency.
