My lessons are engaging and tailored to suit my students learning style. I will provide them with multiple exercises and practice questions every week based on the topics we have discussed to evaluate their progress. To encourage students to do well, I will have a reward system where at the end of the month the student that has worked the hardest and put the most effort in would be rewarded. For me, the effort of the student is much more important than their grades. I believe that encouraging their hard work will bring in more effective results in the long run.
In my previous work as a tutor students have reported back to me that they really do enjoy the system so I know that it works.
We will set monthly goals together with the student and track their performance together throughout the year. Setting SMART goals will help students to have something to work towards, especially as they can be rewarded for it.
I will use videos and interactive video presentations when possible to keep the environment engaging.
I will also help my students to overcome exam stress by fully preparing them with the best revision techniques and stress reducing exercises. Most students don’t perform well on exams despite their high abilities because of exam stress. Therefore, I believe that as much as understanding the content is significant, so is the preparation for the exam environment and the revision techniques. This will eventually lead to my students outperforming themselves and other students.
