When I teach English via video calls, I strive to create an engaging and interactive learning experience for my students. Throughout our sessions, I employ a variety of activities that cater to different language skills and learning styles.

Conversational practice is a cornerstone of our lessons. We engage in discussions on everyday topics or current events, encouraging students to express their thoughts, opinions, and ideas in English. This practice enhances their speaking and listening skills while fostering confidence in using the language.

To further develop their communication abilities, I incorporate role-playing activities. Assigning roles or scenarios, we act out dialogues in English, allowing students to practice real-life conversations and improve their fluency and conversational skills.

Vocabulary games add an element of fun and interactivity to our lessons. Through word associations, charades, or Pictionary-style games, students expand their vocabulary, enhance word usage, and improve their overall language comprehension.

Reading comprehension exercises are also integral to our sessions. I share short texts, articles, or stories, and we delve into discussions to analyze and understand the content. Comprehension questions encourage critical thinking and help assess their understanding.

Writing exercises play a vital role in honing their written communication skills. I assign tasks such as essays, short stories, or journal entries, and students submit their work for evaluation. I provide personalized feedback and suggestions to help them improve their writing style, grammar, and vocabulary usage.

Pronunciation practice is another area of focus. We work on specific phonetic sounds, minimal pairs, and pronunciation challenges. Engaging in tongue twisters or using pronunciation apps assists students in developing accurate pronunciation and clear communication skills.

To create an immersive English learning environment, I conduct our sessions primarily in English. This encourages students to think and communicate in the language, fostering language fluency and comprehension.

I incorporate multimedia resources such as videos, songs, and podcasts to expose students to authentic English content. We discuss the material, explore vocabulary, and delve into cultural aspects, enhancing their overall language proficiency and cultural understanding.

Grammar exercises are integrated to reinforce grammar rules and usage. Using interactive quizzes, worksheets, or online tools, students actively participate in grammar activities, reinforcing their understanding of grammatical structures.

Throughout our video call lessons, I provide individualized feedback and support to each student. Understanding their unique needs and learning styles, I offer constructive suggestions and guidance to help them progress and grow in their English language skills.

By incorporating these diverse activities and personalizing the learning experience, my students gain a well-rounded understanding of the English language. They develop strong communication skills, expand their vocabulary, improve their pronunciation, and build confidence in using English in various contexts. Together, we create a dynamic and engaging online learning environment that fosters growth and success in English language acquisition.
