- advanced knowledge of complex texts including various plays and poems by Shakespeare, Chaucer and Marlowe
- versatile teaching experience with groups of students and individuals, allowing me to cater my abilities to enhance certain skills
- excellent understanding and knowledge of poetry and relevant poets including Byron, Shelley, Keats and others

Content and structural aspects of lessons:
The content learnt can be catered to the preference of the student. This will be dependant on what the weaker areas of the student are.
I will aim to teach:
- analysis skills
- the ability to develop a perceptive and thoughtful argument to an essay
- spelling, punctuation and grammar
- the ability to identify different language techniques, e.g. similies, metaphor, plosives, use of verbs
- proficiency in reading and writing
- creative writing and article writing
- confidence with poetry and techniques
Lessons will be flexible and will include recommendations for materials to use for practicing
