I'm a drummer & percussionist with a varied musical repertoire from Standard and Modern Jazz, Funky, Samba, Bossa Nova and Latin Jazz music.
I studied drums, congas, timbales and other percussions with remarkable teachers with particular attention to Cuban techniques and developing my own style in jazz improvisation. It is very important to know how to use your hands and feet independently and to be able to use drumsticks correctly or even just your bare hands. Having played both drums and congas for many years, my students will be able to express themselves with both sticks and bare hands. I can pass on my skills with individual lessons or for little groups (max 3) by teaching drums, congas, latin percussions and jazz improvisation. I aim to teach in a joyful way with relaxing drum circle when in a group in order to create a team spirit instead of a competitive one within a no judgemental environment that can allow to
make you feel at your ease and express the best of you. When I teach one to one I like to discuss with the students to understand their needs and to arrange the best plan to improve their abilities and achieve their goals. I believe, anyway, it is still important to work without stress and pressure because it is possible to get wonderful results with patience and with a constant growth and having fun at the same time.
I teach to students from the age of 6 to 99 and beyond.
